Greater Philadelphia

Country swing is
the main event.

An hour of real instruction, then a full night of social dancing. Come knowing nothing, leave knowing how. There'll be line dancing too — but the swing floor is where we live.

What this is

Partner dancing, taught properly.

Country swing is partner dancing to country music — turns, spins, dips, and connection, built on footwork simple enough to pick up in an hour and deep enough to spend years on. It's what fills floors every weekend in Utah, Arizona, and Nashville.

This isn't a class we added to the schedule. It's the thing we do, the thing we've spent years doing, and the reason this exists at all. Five years of dancing it, a hundred workshops, and the conventions where the best of it happens — that's what walks into the room with you.

How a night works

Learn it right. Dance it all night.

Start with the workshop

An hour of beginner instruction that assumes you've never danced, broken down properly rather than rushed through. By the end you'll have real moves that hold up on a real floor.

Then the floor opens

Hours of open social dancing with a room full of people using what they just learned. This is the part that makes people come back.

You don't need a partner

Partners rotate constantly through the workshop. It's the fastest way to learn and the fastest way to meet the room. Plenty of people come alone.

Line dancers welcome

A lot of us came up through the line dance scene, and there'll be line dancing at our nights. Country swing just gets the dedicated floor and the dedicated instruction — that's where our focus is, and it's what we're best at.

You don't need boots

Wear whatever you can move in. Boots and hats are welcome; sneakers are fine. Smooth soles beat grippy ones.

On the floor

Nobody learns alone.

Everyone on our floor was a beginner on it once, and most of them recently. Partners rotate, people trade what they just figured out, and whoever learned it last month is the one showing you next month. That's not a side effect of the night — it's the whole point of it.

First night's coming

Be in the room for it.
